DOG TREK is your LOCAL DOG WALKING & PET CARE service, covering many Hornsby Shire and Ku-ring-gai council suburbs including Westleigh, Thornleigh, Pennant Hills, Beecroft, Cherrybrook, Wahroonga, Turramurra and Pymble.
Dog Walking
We provide your pet with safe, regular exercise which is so vital to its health and well-being. Our specialty is regularly scheduled group walks to fully fenced dog parks; we believe that the majority of dogs will benefit most from a dog park environment as it provides the off-leash freedom and social interaction needed to stay active, healthy and happy.
We always walk a maximum of 4 dogs per group walk because not only is this the law, but it allows us to provide your dog with the focussed attention it deserves. To keep things interesting, we visit a variety of parks where your dog can a run, play and sniff to their heart’s content!
Where required or preferred, we will walk your dog individually. This may be particularly beneficial for young puppies, dogs in training, dogs that do not mix well with other dogs and/or older dogs that prefer a more leisurely, peaceful walk.
We love dogs, always have, and have two dogs of our own (Labrador and Alaskan Malamute). We understand what your pet means to you, and whether you choose a group or individual walking service, we will always treat your dog like our own and will consistently provide all dogs with a personalised experience to ensure their health and safety.
We want your dog to have fun with us on our daily dog adventures, and afterwards we will return your furry friend home, happy and relaxed for a well-earned rest.
Holiday & Casual Pet Care
When you are away on holidays or maybe just a few days, we can visit your home once or twice daily and do whatever you require for your pets and household, which may include:
- Walking the dog
- Feeding your pet (dogs and any other, we love all animals)
- Ensuring your pet has fresh water
- Clean up any poo in the yard
- Administer any medication or other health care required
- Water the plants and/or garden as needed
- Ensure the rubbish bins are in/out
- Collect your mail on a daily basis-good for home security
- Give your pet lots of love and affection!
This service offers an alternative to boarding kennels, and we believe that pets will generally be calmer, happier and less stressed in their home environment if they get adequate care and attention. There will also be less risk of exposure to contagious illnesses and/or parasites from other animals in a boarding kennel.
Pet Taxi
For pet owners needing pet transportation assistance (i.e. to the vet, groomer, kennels, etc.), we offer a taxi service to/from the required destination.
